AB  - Historical-civilizational genesis of a humanity reposes on determined existential, being between humanization and dehumanization. Today's phase of civilization moving through its own extreme inhumanity, based on alienated gender essence of a man through alienated work, fetishization of profit, social injustice, formal democracy, immorality, use of force, alienated culture, etc. Struggle for survival of humanity on planet Earth, will make humanity to over- run its own dehumanization.
AB  - Istorijsko-civilizacijska geneza ljudskog roda počiva na predodređenom egzistencijalnom obitavanju između humanizacije i dehumanizacije. Današnja faza civilizacijskog kretanja svoju ekstremnu nehumanost bazira na alijeniranoj rodnoj suštini čoveka kroz otuđeni rad, fetišizaciju profita, socijalnu nepravdu, formalnu demokratiju, nemoral, upotrebu sile, postvarenu kulturu i sl. Borba za goli opstanak ljudskog roda na planeti Zemlji nateraće ga da u budućnosti prevaziđe vlastitu dehumanizaciju.

The metaphysics of bringing-up in a quasi-dilemma of the application or banning of physical punishment of children

AB  - In an overall reformist course of various socially rooted activities, the social and civilisational paradigms of which have been thoroughly questioned recently, bringing-up of children found its place too. To be more precise, regarding this topic, public opinion has been mainly focused on the solution of the quasi dilemma of the application or strict banning of physical punishment as used for the purposes of bringing-up children. Public discussions of this kind have mostly been over-simplified and done in layman style, since the main participants are usually below (modest) level of knowledge, ideologically biased experts and the kin representatives of nongovernmental organizations. They advocate excessively the imposed attitude of detrimental effect of physical punishment as a means of bringing-up, rejecting a priori its potentially pedagogic purpose. Instead of dealing with the difficulties and effects of bringing-up in Serbia, where moral and all other values have been demolished, as well as of the search for the desirable aims, that is for the effective purpose of bringing-up, the stress is put one-sidedly on the outer form - on the false dilemma about the use or banning of physical punishment (i.e. beating/spanking/slapping). This can, among other things, stress hypocritically democratic standards of bringing-up which are allegedly missing in our practice of bringing-up and in our culture in general.
AB  - U sveopštem kursu reformi najrazličitijih društveno ukorenjenih delatnosti, čije se istorijsko-civilizacijske paradigme u poslednje vreme dovode u pitanje i korenito preispituju na tlu Srbije, našlo se i vaspitanje dece. Preciznije rečeno, s njim u vezi, javno mnjenje fokusiralo se na rešenje kvazidileme oko primene ili izričite zabrane upotrebe batina u vaspitne svrhe. Javne diskusije ove vrste uglavnom su laičko-simplifikovane, gde su glavni akteri i reformski kreatori ispod (skromnog) znanja, ideološko poslušni stručnjaci i pripadnici nevladinih organizacija. Oni grčevito brane unapred nametnut stav o pogubnosti fizičkog kažnjavanja kao vaspitnog sredstva, apriori odbacujući njegovu potencijalnu pedagošku svrhu. Umesto bavljenja teškoćama i efektima vaspitanja u društvu razrušenih moralnih i svih ostalih vrednosti, i traganja za zadatostima i poželjnim ciljevima, tj. samim sadržajem i smislom vaspitanja, akcenat se jednostrano stavlja na spoljašnju formu - lažnu dilemu oko upotrebe ili zabrane batina. To, između ostalog, licemerno može da potencira značaj demokratskih vaspitnih standarda koji navodno nedostaju našoj vaspitnoj praksi i kulturi uopšte.

AB  - The generically determined purposefulness of moral self-perfection of man, as an important paradigm of Christian philosophy, is often illustrated through the Biblical stories which reveal various ethical aspects of sin, shame, remorse and forgiveness. In that context, the ethics as a philosophical discipline oriented towards the overcoming of the current man's being, through his constant moral transformation, can reveal in the Bible epistemologically valid ethical reflections in harmony with moral character: sin, shame, remorse and forgiveness. With these moral dimensions in dialectical causality there are also other fundamental ethical issues, like the relation between the being and the need, moral consciousness and conscience, freedom, free choice, moral choice, moral virtues, moral acting, moral judging, moral sanctions and many other moral layers of man's constant transformation.

AB  - Social work with family as a scientific discipline, according to its complexity of its subject of investigation and epistemological paradigm, is determined to turn its theoretical and methodological nature necessarily into a form of cognitive synergy. Extremely complex causality of the phenomenon of family and universal activity of social work in that context demands intellectual cooperation of several philosophical disciplines, such as ontology, gnoseology, axiology, philosophical anthropology, methodology, ethics and aesthetics. Only such a cognitive totality in togetherness, mutual aid and complementariness of several different philosophical (and of course other scientific) sources leads to the discovery of the latent being of the family and to the attempt of its existential humanization through social work.
AB  - Socijalni rad sa porodicom kao naučna disciplina, u skladu sa složenošću predmeta istraživanja i epistemološkom paradigmatičnošću, determinisan je da svoju teorijsko-metodološku prirodu nužno tvori u formi saznajnog sinergizma. Krajnje kompleksni kauzalitet fenomena porodice i univerzalne delatnosti socijalnog rada, u tom kontekstu, zahteva misaono sadejstvo više filozofskih disciplina poput ontologije, gnoseologije, aksiologije, filozofske antropologije, metodologije, etike i estetike. Samo takav saznajni totalitet, sazdan na zajedništvu, ispomaganju i nadopunjavanju više različitih filozofskih (naravno i ostalih naučnih) izvora, vodi razotkrivanju latentnog bitka porodice i pokušaja njenog egzistencijalnog humanizovanja putem socijalnog rada.

AB  - Solidarity as a generic characteristic of human species, in the context of history and civilization, is dialectically imbued with universal activity of social work, thus their dialectic synthesis represents primary conditions of existential survival and humanization of the human being. Complex nature of solidarity is conditioned by synergy of its layers of which creative charity work, voluntary social work, reciprocity, sharing, sacrifice, humanity and love are dominant.
AB  - Solidarnost kao generička odlika ljudske vrste, u istorijsko-civilizacijskom kontekstu dijalektički je prožeta univerzalnom delatnošću socijalnog rada, pri čemu njihova dijalektička sinteza predstavlja primarne uslove egzistencijalnog opstanka i humanizacije čoveka. Kompleksna priroda solidarnosti uslovljena je sinergijom njenih slojeva među kojima dominiraju stvaralačko dobročinstvo, dobrovoljni socijalni rad, uzajamnost, deljenje, žrtvovanje, čovečnost i ljubav.

Social work in a gender pleroma of aging, exemplified by a retirement community

AB  - What this text does, primarily from the positions of philosophical anthropology, is to pose the question of dialectic bases of the unity and struggle, an utterly complex and permanently mystifying phenomenon of human aging. It possesses an array of various existential aspects which social workers need to face daily. Contrary to the common pessimistic attitude about the burden of aging, this text will anticipate the development of epistemological bases of pleroma (totality) of aging, within the boundaries of the social work humanistics. The foundation of this pleroma effectuates human, gender predetermined questioning about the necessity of nature's laws and the transience of life, where old age, despite the finiteness of life and the upcoming death may posses a meaning and the beauty of living. The key axiom of such aging speculation is constructed on the awareness that human inability to reach infinite existence may be overcome by true - full living, with its time constraint, whose creative products hold the quality of living beyond and after its creator into infinity.
AB  - Primarno sa pozicija filozofske antropologije, ovaj tekst otvara pitanje dijalektičkih osnova jedinstva i borbe suprotnosti, krajnje složenog i uvek tajnovitog fenomena čovekovog starenja, sa čijim se najrazličitijim egzistencijalnim aspektima stručno suočavaju socijalni radnici. Naspram uobičajenog pesimističkog stava o težini starosti, ovde se u okvirima humanistike socijalnog rada anticipira razvoj epistemoloških osnova plirome (punoće) starenja, čiji fundus tvori čovekovo, rodno predodređeno nagađanje sa nužnošću prirodnih zakona i prolaznosti života, pri čemu pozni dani, uprkos konačnosti i dolazećoj smrti, mogu posedovati smisao i lepotu življenja. Ključni aksiom takvog nagađanja sa starošću sazdan je na svesti da se čovekova nemoć beskonačnog bitisanja može prevazići istinskim-punim življenjem, ograničeno su mu date vremenske konačnosti, čiji stvaralački produkti poseduju kvalitet nadživljavanja svoga tvorca u večnosti.

The key axiom of such aging speculation is constructed on the awareness that human inability to reach infinite existence may be overcome by true - full living, with its time constraint, whose creative products hold the quality of living beyond and after its creator into infinity., Primarno sa pozicija filozofske antropologije, ovaj tekst otvara pitanje dijalektičkih osnova jedinstva i borbe suprotnosti, krajnje složenog i uvek tajnovitog fenomena čovekovog starenja, sa čijim se najrazličitijim egzistencijalnim aspektima stručno suočavaju socijalni radnici. Naspram uobičajenog pesimističkog stava o težini starosti, ovde se u okvirima humanistike socijalnog rada anticipira razvoj epistemoloških osnova plirome (punoće) starenja, čiji fundus tvori čovekovo, rodno predodređeno nagađanje sa nužnošću prirodnih zakona i prolaznosti života, pri čemu pozni dani, uprkos konačnosti i dolazećoj smrti, mogu posedovati smisao i lepotu življenja. Ključni aksiom takvog nagađanja sa starošću sazdan je na svesti da se čovekova nemoć beskonačnog bitisanja može prevazići istinskim-punim življenjem, ograničeno su mu date vremenske konačnosti, čiji stvaralački produkti poseduju kvalitet nadživljavanja svoga tvorca u večnosti.",

AB  - As a product of epistemological underdevelopment, seemingly unnecessary doubts and perplexities are often brought to focus as theoretical dilemmas in the social work science. With the aid of a more sober gnoseological interpretation, these doubts and perplexities can be disambiguated, and in the context of contemplative reality, properly comprehended. As illustrations of this thesis, in this text are mentioned quasi-theoretical doubts about the terminological marking and multi-faceted meaning of the term theory, then the illusion of the theoretical juxtaposition of modern and mental past experience, fictive clash of universality and cultural specificity of social work, projected theoretical inability to reconcile folk and scientific experience, and the theoretical confusion of not recognizing the universal nature of the historical and civilization labor of social work.
AB  - Kao produkt epistemološke nerazvijenosti, često se u nauci socijalnog rada aktualizuju kao teorijske dileme - u svom prividu bespotrebno projektovane nedoumice i zabune, koje se putem trezvenijeg gnoseološkog tumačenja mogu pojasniti i u kontekstu misaonog realiteta istinitosti valjano pojmiti. Kao ilustracije iznete teze, u ovom tekstu se navode npr. kvaziteorijske nedoumice oko samog terminološkog obeležavanja i višeznačja pojma: teorija, zatim pri-vid teorijske suprotstavljenosti savremenog i saznajnog iskustva iz prošlosti, fiktivni sukob univerzalnosti i kulturnog specifičja socijalnog rada, projektovana teorijska nepomirljivost narodnog i naučnog iskustva, kao i teorijska zabuna neraspoznavanja univerzalne prirode istorijsko-civilizacijske delatnosti socijalnog rada.

Deontological chimeras of contemporary social work

AB  - Simplified approaches to extremely complex phenomena of human morality even today, after more than a century in development of science of social work, primarily conditioned by still underdeveloped ethics - philosophy of moral, in theory and methodology of social work cause numerous cognitive doubts, unexamined postulates and simplified laic interpretations. A typical example of this thesis is the ethic sphere of deontology (branch of philosophy dealing with obligations and duties), in the field of social work vulgarly minimized and narrowly reduced to ethical codes - prescribed norms and instructions for professional behavior of social workers in their career. The only correct way for overcoming these deontological chimeras is certainly a systematic development of philosophy of moral within the science of social work, on the rich spring of ethics as an important segment of history of philosophy which in a form of consistent entity should offer right replies to cognitive dilemmas about the source of moral, manner of establishment of moral, active forms of moral and moral principles and purposes, immanent to the universal nature of this authentic humanistic activity.
AB  - Simplifikovani pristupi krajnje složenom fenomenu čovekove moralnosti, i danas, posle više od jednog veka u razvoju nauke socijalnog rada, primarno uslovljeni još uvek nerazvijenom etikom-filozofijom morala, u teoriji i metodologiji socijalnog rada uzrokuju brojne saznajne nedoumice, neproverene misaone postavke i uprošćene laičke interpretacije. Tipičan primer iznete teze je etička sfera deontologije (filozofske grane koja se odnosi na obaveze i dužnosti), inače u oblasti socijalnog rada, vulgarno minimizirane i suženo svedene na etičke kodekse - propisane norme i uputstva za profesionalno ponašanje socijalnih radnika u njihovom stručnom radu. Jedino valjan put za prevazilaženje ovih deontoloških himera je svakako sistematično razvijanje filozofije morala u okviru nauke socijalnog rada na bogatom izvorištu etike, kao bitnog segmenta istorije filozofije, koja bi u formi konzistentne celine morala dati valjane odgovore na saznajne dileme oko izvora morala, načina uspostavljanja morala, delatnih oblika morala imoralnih principa i svrha, imanentnih univerzalnoj prirodi ove autentične humanističke delatnosti.

AB  - Contrary to its theological foundations the medieval Christian thought is very abundant in the multitude of ethical paradigms of theoretical-methodological significance for development of ethical philosophy of social work. In the context of that the two basic directions of the Christian teaching: Patristics and Scholastics anticipate significant ethical postulates as the essential code of thoughtfully-practical overviews of the complex human's morality in social work. Moral liberty, free will, moral awareness and consciousness, good, the evil, love, philanthropy, ethical sovereignty, moral responsibility activity on the moral activities plan, moral reconsideration, sin, repentance and pardoning, moral transfiguration and given moral improvement are some of many pattern-setting ideas which this specific cognitive source potentially offers for epistemological elaboration to the social work humanities.
AB  - Uprkos svom teološkom fundusu, srednjovekovna hrišćanska misao obiluje mnoštvom etičkih paradigmi od teorijsko-metodološkog značaja za razvoj moralne filozofije socijalnog rada. U tom kontekstu, dva osnovna pravca hrišćanskog učenja: patristika i sholastika, anticipiraju značajne etičke postulate kao esencijalni kod misaono-praktičnog sagledavanja složene kategorije čovekove moralnosti u socijalnom radu. Moralna sloboda, slobodna volja, moralna svest i savest, dobro, zlo, ljubav, čovekoljublje, moralna suverenost, moralna odgovornost, moralno-delatni aktivitet, moralno preispitivanje, greh, kajanje i praštanje, moralni preobražaj i zadato moralno usavršavanje, neki su od mnogih paradigmatičnih pojmova, koje ovaj specifičan saznajni izvor potencijalno nudi u epistemološku razradu humanistici socijalnog rada.

Poverty in function of existential alienation of the population of Serbia

AB  - Being a complex social phenomenon, poverty is recognizable in practice as the impossibility to satisfy the minimum of human's existential needs; it is immediately reflected (even in its extreme form of poverty) on a variety of forms of every day alienation of the population of Serbia. In a wide range from primary-biological all the way up to cultural-aesthetic requirements, poverty inhibits potential development of one's potentials which takes him away, makes him un-free, that is alienated from his own essence (core), from other people and the community he lives in. Along with that, general existential alienation with us gets promoted by the extremely rooted social injustice, politically profiled utilitarianism, wrenched away from any form of institutional control of the competent authorities as well as the general disintegration of the system of ethics and standards.
AB  - Siromaštvo, kao složena društvena pojava, praktično prepoznatljiva u nemogućnosti zadovoljavanja minimuma egzistencijalnih potreba čoveka, neposredno se odražava (čak i u svom ekstremnom obliku bede) na mnogovrsne oblike svakodnevnog otuđivanja (alijenacije) stanovništva Srbije. U širokom opsegu od primarno-bioloških, pa sve do kulturno-estetskih potreba, siromaštvo sputava potencijalni razvoj čovekovih mogućnosti, što ga udaljava, čini neslobodnim, tj. otuđenim od vlastite suštine, drugih ljudi i zajednice u kojoj obitava. Pri tom, opšte egzistencijalno otuđenje u nas biva pospešeno i ekstremno ukorenjenom socijalnom nepravdom, politički profilisanim utilitarizmom, otrgnutim od bilo kakve institucionalne kontrole nadležnih instanci, kao i opštim raspadom vrednosno-moralnog sistema.

Prevention aporias of alcoholism in social work

AB  - In spite of five decades of development, the science of social work in this country failed to build a valid - philosophically founded epistemological paradigm which is directly reflected on alcoholism prevention too as one of its essential categorical segment. disregarding the complex nature of alcoholism prevention, primarily from the domain of social group work which is practiced mostly by doctors specialized in psychiatry, apart from the medicine-psychiatric aspects all other dimensions of this widely spread social peril and evil (cognitive, value judgmental, educational, customs related, cultural, ethical, esthetical and many other which are deeply rooted in social-existentialism) remain beyond the researchers' reach. Contrary to that, the only appropriate approach to prevention in social work is when it is regarded multidisciplinary in form of dialectic totality, based on the multitude of theoretical sources (absolutely under-utilized so far). Owing to the synergy of their cognitive experience the social work humanities must necessarily deal (for the sake of its own authenticity) with the value analysis of quasi scientific 'novelties' postulating authentic futurology which implies theoretical maturity (operationally-technically-directional) methodic of social work in the epistemologically-scientifically founded methodology.
AB  - Ni posle pet decenija razvoja, nauka socijalnog rada u nas nije uspela da izgradi valjanu - filozofski fundiranu epistemološku paradigmu, što se neposredno reflektuje i na preventivu alkoholizma, kao njen bitan kategorijalni segment. Zanemarujući kompleksnu prirodu prevencije alkoholizma, primarno iz domena socijalnog grupnog rada kojim se uglavnom bave lekari psihijatri, osim medicinsko-psihijatrijskog aspekta, sve ostale dimenzije ovog raširenog društvenog zla (saznajne, vrednosne, vaspitne, običajne, kulturne, moralne, estetske i mnoge druge duboko socijalno-egzistencijalne) ostaju van istraživačkog domašaja. Nasuprot tome, jedini celishodni pristup preventivi u socijalnom radu jeste njeno multidisciplinarno razmatranje u formi dijalektičkog totaliteta, zasnovano na mnoštvu teorijskih izvora (do sada apsolutno neiskorišćenih). Zahvaljujući sinergiji njihovog saznajnog iskustva humanistika socijalnog rada se mora (zarad sopstvene autentike) nužno pozabaviti vrednosnim preispitivanjem kvazinaučnih 'novina', postulirajući autentičnu futurologiju koja podrazumeva teorijsko sazrevanje (operacionalno-tehnički-uputstvenih) metodika socijalnog rada u epistemološki-naučno utemeljene metodologije.

Contrary to that, the only appropriate approach to prevention in social work is when it is regarded multidisciplinary in form of dialectic totality, based on the multitude of theoretical sources (absolutely under-utilized so far). AB  - The fruitful philosophical thought of Erich Fromm reaching into the ontological secrets of man's native guaranteed essence by duality of possession and being in their dialectic opposition is important and yet sufficiently unexplored source of value paradigms of the social work science. Fromm's thought opens up for the humanities of social work the issues of human totality and to him immanent existential teleology the aspects of which are practically met on a daily basis by social workers without them being aware of it. In that context social work (spontaneous through professional one) presents a particular type of prevailing/existing asceticism (self-abnegation) in which historical-civilization roots have settled the principles of activity self-creation, inter-humanitarian sharing, commonness, mutuality, solidarity and love as pivotal bases of existential sense and joy.
AB  - Plodna filozofska misao Eriha Froma koja seže u ontološke tajne čovekove rodne suštine, razboritim dvojenjem imanja i bitka u njihovoj dijalektičkoj suprotstavljenosti, značajno je, a dovoljno neistraženo izvorište vrednosnih paradigmi nauke socijalnog rada. Fromova misao otvara za humanistiku socijalnog rada set fundamentalnih pitanja čovekovog totaliteta i njemu imanentne egzistencijalne teleologije, sa čijim se najraznovrsnijim aspektima, uglavnom da ne znaju, svakodnevno praktično susreću socijalni radnici. U tom kontekstu socijalni rad (od spontanog do profesionalnog) predstavlja specifičnu vrstu bivstvujuće askeze (samoodricanja) u čijim su se istorijsko-civilizacijskim korenima ustalila načela delatnog samostvaralaštva, međuljudskog deljenja, zajedništva, uzajamnosti, solidarnosti i ljubavi kao stožerne osnove egzistencijalnog smisla i radosti.

Ethical causality of the syndrome of professional burnout and free will in social work

AB  - Stressful consequences of extremely complex, effort-consuming and responsible professional activities of social workers who offer the multitude of existential aid and support to people in trouble, affected by evils of toxicomania, juvenile delinquency, family problems, poverty, disability, aging, illness and similar problems which restrain existential development of person are more and more often in theory and practice of social work mentioned as the syndrome of professional burnout. In doing this, this problem of professional saturation, accompanied by loss of working motivation, professional senselessness and hopelessness is in the science of social work approached primarily from the positions of psychology and partly medicine, as an emotional unknown, yielding a simplified clarification deprived of ethical dimensions which in fact represent the very conditio sine qua non of this phenomenon. In that context, this text opens the possibilities of ethical approach to this complex and unexplored subject matter of the science of social work, observing it in causality with free will as a fundamental ethical category, which nurturance and cultivated application the etiology and consequences of professional burnout syndrome of social workers directly depend on.
AB  - O stresnim posledicama krajnje kompleksnih, napornih i odgovornih stručnih aktivnosti socijalnih radnika, koji pružaju najrazličitije vrste egzistencijalne pomoći i podrške ljudima u nevolji, pogođenih zlom toksikomanija, maloletničke delinkvencije, porodičnih problema, siromaštva, invalidnosti, starenja, bolesti i njima srodnih nedaća koje sputavaju egzistencijalni razvoj čoveka, sve češće se u teoriji i praksi socijalnog rada govori kao sindromu profesionalnog sagorevanja-izgaranja. Pri tom, ovom problemu profesionalnog zasićenja, koga prati gubljenje radne motivacije, stručna besmislenost i beznađe, pristupa se u nauci socijalnog rada primarno sa pozicija psihologije i delimično medicine, kao emocionalnoj nepoznanici, što za posledicu ima simplifikovana pojašnjenja lišena etičkih dimenzija, koja u stvari predstavlja­ju sam conditio sine qua non ove pojave. U tom kontekstu ovaj tekst i otvara mogućnosti etičkog pristupa ovoj složenoj i neistraženoj materiji nauke socijalnog rada, sagledavajući ga u kauzalitetu sa slobodnom voljom kao fundamentalnom etičkom kategorijom, od čijeg vaspitavanja i kultivisane primene neposredno zavisi etiologija i posledice profesionalnog sindroma izgaranja socijalnih radnika.

Civilizational misuse of aid as punishment in the institutionalized social work

AB  - Throughout the history of civilization the social context could not but establish a relation between the holders of power who have control over the available material resources and political power and subordinate and dependant people who are forced to rely on the state organized help/aid in order to satisfy their basic/elementary needs. The latent nature of that help is mercifully-hypocritical for in its essence it represents a perfidious form of punishment of powerless through the control and preservation of the existing social order which is exactly what makes them be such. In that respect, the institutionalized social work is in the service of protection of interests of the governing government-political structures and their economic domination since, being the social agents and watch-guards, they perform the integration of the 'asocial' ones into the existing value standards of deeply dehumanized and socially unjust society.
AB  - Tokom čitave istorije civilizacije nužno se u društvenom kontekstu uspostavlja odnos između nosioca vlasti, koji upravljaju raspoloživim materijalnim resursima i političkom moći, i potčinjenih i zavisnih ljudi, koji su prinuđeni da se za elementarno zadovoljavanje egzistencijalnih potreba oslanjaju na državno organizovanu pomoć. Latentna priroda te pomoći je milosrdno-licemerna, jer u biti predstavlja perfidni oblik kažnjavanja nemoćnih, kroz kontrolu i očuvanje postojećeg društvenog poretka koji ih i čini takvim. U tom smislu, i institucionalni socijalni rad je u službi zaštite interesa vladajućih državno-političkih struktura i njihove ekonomske dominacije, pošto kao socijalni agenti i čuvari vrše integraciju 'asocijalnih' u postojeće vrednosne norme duboko dehumanizovanog i socijalno nepravednog društva.

Freedom of human self-transformation: Negation of charity in social work

AB  - The key controversy of humanistic activity of social work derives from its teleology of offering aid to individuals, groups and entire communities which are not capable to satisfy primary existential needs on their own. Such offering of unilateral aid to the disabled is under the risk to gain the character of charity, which is deprived of true humanity, concerning that it stigmatizes and makes those who are left to Samaritan mercy of the powerful ones passive, dependant and inferior. Negation in the essence of inhuman charitable social work is an attempt for wake-up and stimulation of human self-transformation based on active self-activity and use of own potentials of every individual, leading to moral self-advancement as a specially assigned purpose of man, by which this universal activity justifies the attribute of true aim toward humanity.
AB  - Ključno protivurečije humanističke delatnosti socijalnog rada proizilazi iz njegove teleologije pružanja pomoći onim pojedincima, grupama i čitavim zajednicama koji nisu sposobni da vlastitim snagama zadovoljavaju primarne egzistencijalne potrebe. Takvo pružanje jednosmerne pomoći nemoćnima, u riziku je da poprimi karakter milosrđa, koje je lišeno istinske humanosti, s obzirom da stigmatiše, pasivizira, zavisnim i inferiornim čini one koji su prepušteni samarićanskoj milosti moćnih. Negacija u biti ne-humanog milosrdnog socijalnog rada, je pokušaj buđenja i podsticanja ljudskog samopreobražavanja zasnovanog na delatnom samoaktivitetu i korišćenju sopstvenih potencijala svake individue, što vodi moralnom samousavršavanju kao rodno zadatoj svrsi čoveka, čime ova univerzalna delatnost opravdava epitet istinske težnje ka ljudskosti.

Negation in the essence of inhuman charitable social work is an attempt for wake-up and stimulation of human self-transformation based on active self-activity and use of own potentials of every individual, leading to moral self-advancement as a specially assigned purpose of man, by which this universal activity justifies the attribute of true aim toward humanity., Ključno protivurečije humanističke delatnosti socijalnog rada proizilazi iz njegove teleologije pružanja pomoći onim pojedincima, grupama i čitavim zajednicama koji nisu sposobni da vlastitim snagama zadovoljavaju primarne egzistencijalne potrebe. Takvo pružanje jednosmerne pomoći nemoćnima, u riziku je da poprimi karakter milosrđa, koje je lišeno istinske humanosti, s obzirom da stigmatiše, pasivizira, zavisnim i inferiornim čini one koji su prepušteni samarićanskoj milosti moćnih. Negacija u biti ne-humanog milosrdnog socijalnog rada, je pokušaj buđenja i podsticanja ljudskog samopreobražavanja zasnovanog na delatnom samoaktivitetu i korišćenju sopstvenih potencijala svake individue, što vodi moralnom samousavršavanju kao rodno zadatoj svrsi čoveka, čime ova univerzalna delatnost opravdava epitet istinske težnje ka ljudskosti.",

AB  - The entire epistemological structure of the social work science is immediately dependant on the theoretically-methodological comprehension of complex notions (ideas): values and evaluation, starting from general theoretically-philosophical paradigm and scientific sources via subject of research to principles and methods used. In spite of that, due to absence of philosophical knowledge, in our social work humanities these complex qualities when their respective notions and category are concerned are operated from the cognitively more or less poor mother positions of sociology and psychology. In that respect I'd like to underline that this is the first text in our parts which is decidedly in favor of the thesis of necessity to found the social work axiology on the basis of empirical cognition of axiology - the so called philosophical theory of values which focuses its respective research on value - as the very word tells us.
AB  - Od teorijsko-metodološkog sagledavanja kompleksnih pojmova: vrednosti i vrednovanja neposredno zavisi čitava epistemološka struktura nauke socijalnog rada, počev od opšte teorijsko-filozofske paradigme i naučnih izvora, preko predmeta istraživanja, pa sve do principa i metoda. Uprkos tome, još uvek se ovim složenim kvalitetima u našoj humanistici socijalnog rada, u odsustvu filozofskog znanja, pojmovno-kategorijalno operiše sa, saznajno manje-više, slabašno-matičnih pozicija sociologije i psihologije. S tim u vezi, podvlačim, da je ovo prvi tekst u nas koji decidirano brani tezu o nužnosti fundiranja aksiologije socijalnog rada, i to na osnovu iskustvenog saznanja aksiologije - tzv. filozofske teorije vrednosti, koja u fokus svog predmetnog istraživanja uzima, kako joj samo ime kaže - vrednosti.

AB  - In the absence of its own ethics - the philosophy of morality, from the position of superficial ethical improvisations our "contemporary" science of social work has not been successful till present day in giving a valid theoretically-methodological answer to the complex issue of human morality which makes condition sine qua non of the universal activity of social work. The first epistemological step on the way of overcoming the almost complete ethical illiteracy in this field is, most certainly, the definition on the concept-category basis of the basic definitions (concepts) of morality and ethics. Such concept-category foundation in relation to the quasi experts - promoters of contemporary trends in the social work science (which are not familiar with these concepts) present the form of primer literature for learning the basic letters of the future philosophy based ethics of social work which gives it its futuristic dimensions too.
AB  - "Savremena" nauka socijalnog rada do danas nije uspela da valjano, konzistentno-epistemološki razreši najelementarnija pitanja kompleksne moralne problematike, s čim u vezi, pod uslovom posedovanja minimuma znanja iz oblasti filozofski zasnovane etike, nije teško ustanoviti čitav kompleks nedorečenosti, zabuna, izraženog neznanja i njime saobraznih sterilnih etičkih interpretacija, što višedimenzionalno potire autentiku i dignitet potencijalno etički fundirane humanistike socijalnog rada. Zato ovom prilikom, kao izraz kontinuiteta u razobličavanju postojećeg stanja opšte etičke nepismenosti, otvaram i podvlačim zbog njihove (u pravom smislu reči) izuzetne važnosti nekoliko krupnijih pitanja, kojima će morati da se ozbiljno pozabavi, ne savremena (s obzirom da ona to nije u stanju) već"futuristički" u odnosu na savremenu, zasnovana buduća nauka socijalnog rada, i u okviru nje - filozofski zasnovana etika.

AB  - Despite the fact that educational processes make an important segment of the universal activity of social work, its contemporary theory and methodology have been deprived of the scientific experience of pedagogy wit us. Instead of implementation of pedagogical paradigms, principles, values, tasks, aims and methods into the science of social work by means of their critical consideration and development, conformant to its specific subject, the educational processes in social work expressed to ultimately sensible and demanding inmates (from children to adults) are based solely on professional routine, spontaneity and improvisation. To overcome the prevailing situation necessitates theory and practice of social work to undergo the epistemological transformation. It is of essential importance at that to have the social work methodic and the level of technical-operational application of borrowed methods (psychology first of all) outgrow through serious foundation their own methodologies of social work which must not renounce the cognitive experience of pedagogy. .
AB  - Teleološki usud čovekovog rodnog bitka, predodređen - zadatom mu egzistencijalnom humanizacijom, tokom čitave istorije civilizacije, putem najrazličitijih oblika svakodnevnog življenja, presudno oblikuje kvalitativni sadržaj univerzalne delatnosti socijalnog rada. U raskošju pojavnih oblika ove razuđene ljudske delatnosti (od njenih spontanih do profesionalnih izraza) sasvim jasno je uočljiva (manje ili više svesna) namera o nužnosti svakolikog menjanja i preobražavanja čoveka kao pojedinca, pripadnika grupa i čitavih zajednica, u pravcu buđenja i pospešivanja njegovih svekolikih generičkih potencijala. Takva differentia specifica ove delatnosti, njenim primarnim profesionalnim nosiocima socijalnim radnicima, nužno u spektar profesionalnih aktivnosti, ukorenjuje vaspitnu nadležnost, čija je potreba više nego očigledna u njihovoj svakodnevnoj praksi. Naime, ako se pažljivije os­motri priroda pruženih profesionalnih usluga socijalnih radnika, u prvi plan dolazi njihova stručna briga aktivnog pružanja pomoći i pod­sticaja pripadnicima svih starosnih uzrasta (deci, odraslima i starima), povodom pokušaja prevazilaženja mnogobrojnih egzistencijalnih problema (porodičnih konflikata, delikvencije, toksikomanije, razvoda brakova, i sl.) pri čemu ovi stručnjaci humanisti nastoje da aktivno osposobe svoje 'štićenike' da se oni što je moguće samostalnije koriste iskustvima i znanjima povodom konkretnih životnih situacija. Tokom tog procesa, socijalni radnici (u duhu svoje profesije) vode i usmeravaju ljude u njihovim egzistencijalnim lutanjima, bude u njima promene ka boljem, podstiču ustanovljavanje drugačijeg vrednosnog sistema u njih, utiču na promenu ustaljenih predrasuda kroz pružanje različitih vrsta znanja, jednom rečju vaspitavaju, odgajaju i ka humanom usavršavanju privode sveopšti ljudski razvoj. Međutim, uprkos čvrstoj (tokom razvoja civilizacije tvorenoj) dijalektičkoj prožetosti vaspitno-obrazovne delatnosti i delatnosti socijalnog rada, koje obostrano (svaka na svoj neponovljiv način) za cilj postavljaju dosezanje ljudskog usavršavanja, naša savremena nauka socijalnog rada, već gotovo dve decenije unazad, ne nalazi za shodno da svoju teoriju i metodologiju izgrađuje na saznanjima pedagogije kao nauke. Na koji se način vaspitanje i socijalni rad zaista stapaju u egzistencijalnijoj zadatosti čovekovog bitisanja, zarad kog praksa socijalnog rada ne bi u budućnosti smela da ga, kao do sada, apriori odbacuje, kao i koji su uzroci i posledice tog apsurdnog nihilističkog odnosa prema naučno zasnovanoj pedagogiji po humanistiku socijalnog rada, pitanja su u čije valjane odgovore ovaj tekst pokušava da pronikne. .

AB  - Considered with reason, the use of term contemporary social work can be a subject of much dispute having in mind the idea-concept it presents, that is the semantic-semiological aspects of it which indicate the deepest essential logical absurdity and unwanted consequences of that contemporariness on the theory and practice of this humanistic activity. In its very essence the idea of social work includes modernity, or to put it more precisely, faddishness characterized by blind devotion to presently actual theoretical-methodological approaches through the inclination and non-critical imitation based on standard procedure and stereotype which in the absence of creative-disclosing creation make fertile ground for infertile vulgarity and banality of intellectual kitsch and snobbism which are of passing character and, through the bizarreness of its own, quickly vanishing from all fields of spirituality; thus from the field of social work too.

AB  - Contrary to widely spread quasi ethical approaches and infertile improvisations, as the expressions of defense from the elementary ignorance of the extremely complex and rich in controversies philosophy of morality (ethics) - worldwide and home alike - the ethical foundation of the theory and methodology of social work for purpose of epistemological worthiness, would have to look for its models in serious ethical studies. From the rich treasury of ethical thought history, the attention here was devoted to Friedrich Nietzsche, that is to his ethics of immorality recognizable by the idea of super-man (homo superior) as the expression of moral perfection. In that context, the preciousness of his lucid thought of human morality is brought into connection with the controversies of social work seen from the point of view of human self-transfiguration lead by the will of power from "moral servant" to "moral master", from pitying love for one’s neighbor to higher love for one’s most distant to be, that is for oneself in the wide range of mortal sin personified in moral pitying to acting self creation of humanized superman.

AB  - For the science of social work the anthropological teaching of Protagoras, the Sophist from Abder, opens up an almost inexhaustible anticipation of its philosophical foundation. Complying with the ethical relativism this wise man stresses almost 25 centuries ago the initial paradigm of social work, its ethics and axiology based on the education and reformation of human virtues which makes the basis of overall improvement and humanization of people. Besides, Protagoras sees the dialectic compliance of the activities of an individual with the community in which he exist as defining among the first in the history of philosophy the ethical imperative indicating that what should shouldn’t be done by people in general should not be done by any man at all. The social work humanists can find fertile germ in his teaching according to which the teaching of virtues is inseparable from the familiar framework and falling within the competence of presently actual agents of socialization. Protagoras provokes a series of other issues of importance for presently actual theory and methodology of social work such as rationality, purposefulness and timely usage of human speech, then the purpose of sacrifice as a necessary condition and measure of act of good deed or still not postulated principles of human hoping, endurance, persistence and consistence.

The purpose of posterity in the Serbian folklore tradition moral

AB  - A brief look at certain aspects of understanding of the purpose and importance of posterity in the traditional culture of Serbs reveals the nature of offspring and its irreplaceable place in the ethical system and the general philosophy of living. The experience the Serbs gained over the centuries results in the moral that children are a God's blessing and the greatest treasure one can possess since it is through them that are maintained and eternally present family and human race in general. The offspring represents the power and security of parents which is why sons are most wellcome, but in the long run the important thing is to have as many children as possible regardless of their sex. It is folk wisdom that tells us it is best to procreate offspring when young because of the optimal health conditions for child bearing and upbringing.

'The great teaching' of Confucius as the source of social work philosophy

AB  - The history of philosophical thought, or in this example of ours of the great teaching of Confucius, presents a precious source and inspiration for the constitution of an authentic science of social work. Analogically-symbolical in relation to philosophy, the particular activity of social work in the universality of its practical manifestations, from a spontaneous act of charity to its professionally founded form, requires (to be taken under certain conditions) a constitution of its own philosophy. To put it more precisely, it is about the necessity to overcome the epigonism in the existing science of social work, with a clear aim of building the humanities conformant to social work; the said building being made on the combination of a particular gnoseology, axiology, ethics and methodology immanent to social work. That is the context for the understanding of Confucius' ethics of comprehension of the omnipresent morality as the fulfillment of human nature. In accordance with it man is taken/accepted as the greatest value and the measure of every other human being - that is the whole mankind. From his ethics also come the methodological postulates of the extreme importance for the theory and practice of social work such as persistence, self sacrifice and the pedagogical model based on the professional authority since social worker tends to make people good without punishing them or showing them his anger.

The issue of stigmatization in the social work

AB  - By all appearances stigmatization (branding), as one of the fundamental controversies of social work, is decisively determined by two factors. The first one comes from the very nature of the social work as an activity which roots lie in charity. It is characterized by the unindirectional aid given by those who 'have' and 'can' to those who, due to a number of reasons, 'do not have' and 'cannot' satisfy the elementary human needs. This process generates the relation of dependence and the feeling of inferiority in its passive participants. With the professionalization of social work the said relation is intensified by the appearance of red tape and paper work the result of which is 'pinning' of various diagnoses (from the socio-pathological domain) to the users of social work services. Pursuant to such practice people become depersonalized by means of their being branded by a certain number, code of diagnosis. The possible ways to overcome the problem of stigmatization within the social work activities would be the ones which would lead to removing the strict borders between the 'mighty', and the 'powerless' (weak) and that implies the accessibility to social work services to everyone.
