Muzika je neraskidivo povezana sa kontekstom u kojem se proizvodi, te se odnos između muzike i društva izučava decenijama. Sa svetom, koji se progresivno menja, menja se i položaj i značaj koji muzika ima u društvu. Popularna muzika danas je dostupnija, profitabilnija i agresivnija nego ikad. Tekstovi današnje popularne muzike prevazilaze domen zabave i ulaze duboko u prostor ideologija, rasnih, socijalnih i moralnih pitanja. Inspirisani rezultatima istraživanja sprovedenog u Srbiji, prema kojima 52% osnovaca, odnosno 70% srednjoškolaca posećuje internet svakodnevno i većinu vremena provede slušajući muziku (Popadić i Kuzmanović, 2016), u ovom radu pokušaćemo da sagledamo ulogu medijske pismenosti kada je reč o nastojanju ublažavanja uticaja koji popularna muzika ima na decu i adolescente, a koji su istovremeno njeni najveći konzumenti.
Music is inseparably connected to the context it is being produced in and
relation between music and society has been studied for decades. In the world, which has been
changed, position and significance it has in society, is being changed as well. In the world
which has progressively being changed, position and significance it has in society is being
changed, as well. Popular music is more available nowadays; it is more profitable and
aggressive than ever. Texts of nowadays popular music are beyond the domain of fun and they
go deep into the space of ideology, racial, social and moral issues. Inspired by the results of
the research done in Serbia, according to which 52% of primary school students, i.e. 70% of
high school students visit the Internet every day and they spend most of the time listening to
music (Popadić & Kuzmanović, 2016), we are going to observe in this paper the role of media
literacy when we try to soften the influence of popular music on children and adoles...cents, and
who are their greatest consumers.
