Abstract
Following review deals comparatively with social welfare, with health insurance, pension insurance and insurance for invalids as well as with the insurance for unemployed in European Community. One of the sources was European Community Commission Paper, which was published during 1988 and 1989 under a title Comparative Tables of Social Security Schemes in the member states of European Community. This paper shows that rights were pretty much equalized in relation to their scope of social welfare as well as in relation to prerequisition and social security level that was necessary for their realization. Being the result of an effort to acquire an equalization of national systems of social insurance, it is also the result of workers struggle for their social rights as well as it is the result of the level of economic development of such countries. We speak here about developed European countries which have social insurance system as an integral part of a national welfare system which rela...tes to the whole nation.
