The contemporary social work snobbism
Snobizam savremenog socijalnog rada
Abstract
Considered with reason, the use of term contemporary social work can be a subject of much dispute having in mind the idea-concept it presents, that is the semantic-semiological aspects of it which indicate the deepest essential logical absurdity and unwanted consequences of that contemporariness on the theory and practice of this humanistic activity. In its very essence the idea of social work includes modernity, or to put it more precisely, faddishness characterized by blind devotion to presently actual theoretical-methodological approaches through the inclination and non-critical imitation based on standard procedure and stereotype which in the absence of creative-disclosing creation make fertile ground for infertile vulgarity and banality of intellectual kitsch and snobbism which are of passing character and, through the bizarreness of its own, quickly vanishing from all fields of spirituality; thus from the field of social work too.
