The relation between the state and economy: A short theoretical review

Abstract

In this paper author analyzed the relation between the state and economy through a research of the limits of 'intervention' of the state into economic flows and processes, observing it from the prism of theoretical views of economic science related to evolution of this relation. The author came to conclusion on necessity of the influence of the state on creation of economic processes and relations through its performance of certain economic functions. Here there comes a question - to what extent the influence of the state in economy is acceptable? Theoretical diversification in economy is determined exactly by the answer to this question and so in the paper author analyzed some theories related to this question. Final part of the analysis is dedicated to a contemporary dilemma that has appeared more obvious than before in the past - the dilemma on viability of the idea of capitalism that has been dominant in global economy.

U ovom radu se vrši analiza odnosa države i ekonomije, tj. ispituju se granice 'uplitanja' države u ekonomske tokove i procese, posmatrano kroz prizmu teorijskih pogleda ekonomske nauke koji su pratili evoluciju ovog odnosa. Dolazi se do zaključka o neophodnosti uticaja države na kreiranje ekonomskih procesa i odnosa, kroz vršenje određenih ekonomskih funkcija. Postavlja se pitanje, u kojoj mjeri je prihvatljiv uticaj države u ekonomiji? Teorijska diversifikacija u ekonomiji upravo je uslovljena odgovorom na ovo pitanje, te su u radu analizirane teorije koje su se bavile ovim pitanjem. Analiza se zaokružuje sve prisutnijom savremenom dilemom o održivosti ideje kapitalizma, koja dominira globalnom ekonomijom.
