The ontology of power between phenomenology and genealogy

Abstract

In this paper we shall try to throw light upon the nature of power by means of traditional conceptual pairs-patterns appearance - essence, potentiality - actuality, possibility - necessity. While doing so, although aware of intrinsic questionability of ontological discourse on power, we shall aim its understanding not only in the stage of practical interaction, which makes the basis for phenomenology of power, but also in respect of its genesis. Following this direction we shall argue that power, if already established, could bee efficient without obligation of its regular, unceasing exhibition. As conceptual tools for closer examination of the problem are chosen the topics of freedom, life and boundary.

U ovom radu nastojaćemo da osvijetlimo prirodu moći na tragu tradicionalnih filosofsko-ontoloških parova-obrazaca pojava - suština, potencijalnost - aktualnost, mogućnost - nužnost. Pritom ćemo, i pored svijesti o inherentnoj problematičnosti ontološkog govora o moći, nastojati da je razumijemo ne samo iz faze praktične interakcije, što predstavlja osnovu za fenomenologiju moći, već i u njenoj genezi. Slijedeći takav postupak dokazivaćemo da uspostavljena moć može biti djelotvorna i bez stalnog ispoljavanja. Kao pomoćni pojmovi za određivanje problema moći uzeti su pojmovi slobode, života i granice.
