The necessity for the institutional and the non-government sectors to cooperate in the field of social protection

Abstract

The establishment of an appropriate cooperation between the institutional and the non-government sectors is a prerequisite for the development of social protection and social policy as a whole. That cooperation enables an economically more profitable social function of the state, more pragmatic and overwhelming system of social protection, full performance of all the tasks of the social work centers, more meaningful, creative, action taking social work and the greater satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the 'new', social protection in which their sound potentials will become prominent. To actually achieve that it is necessary to get rid of the existing misconception concerning both the non government organizations and the knowledge and abilities of the experts engaged in the institutional sector. Consequently the responsibility for the establishment of an appropriate cooperation is on the state and non-state sectors alike.
