Estimate of the social work centers condition and determination of their needs

Abstract

The article refers to the outline (illustration) of the research of the actual situation in the social work centers and their needs in practical work. The research was done within the Promotion of the standards of professional work in the social work centers. The basic aim of the research was to establish the relatively comprehensive picture of the actual situation in the professionals practice, as the starting point for the development of work standards. The research starts from the importance of the participation of professionals in that process. The article presents the preliminary data of the ongoing research only. The results achieved contributed to the conviction that to promote standards of professional work is what present condition of practice requires most urgently. The quality of answers received are the indicators of the essential understanding of the developmental directions of standards, as well as the degree of readiness to accept and follow a good practice, which is of key importance for the successful implementation of the project.

Rezultati istraživanja u celini posmatrano nisu ohrabrujući u pogledu stanja tekuće prakse. Ukratko, oni bi se mogli sažeti kroz zaključak da je prisutno globalno sniženo zadovoljstvo statusom struke, kvalitetom i uslovima stručnog rada. Ipak, tekuća praksa je značajno zasnovana na ličnom entuzijazmu i humanosti stručnih radnika, iako nije podržana ni materijalno ni stručno, ni organizaciono. Moglo bi se reći da su rezultati ispitivanja bili očekivani, što je doprinelo učvršćenju uverenja da se projekat Unapređenja standarda stručnog rada odvija u pravom trenutku i na realnim potrebama sadašnjeg stanja u praksi. Saradnja stručnih radnika u ispitivanju i kvalitet njihovih odgovora bili su pokazatelji suštinskog razumevanja razvojnih pravaca standarda, kao i stepena njihove spremnosti da se dobra praksa prihvati i sledi, što je za uspešnu implantaciju projekta od ključnog značaja.
